was published to Ordinance No. 107-A/2023, of April 18, which fixes the update of the amount of the meal subsidy to Public Administration workers to 6 euros.
This new update assumes particular fiscal relevance not only in the Public Administration, but also in the private sector, since this will be the legal limit used as a reference for taxation (or exclusion), in terms of IRS and in terms of contributions to Social Security .
In effect, there will now be exclusion from taxation of the meal subsidy up to a limit of 6 euros, when paid in cash, or 9,6 euros, when paid through meal vouchers.
This update takes effect January 1, 2023.
